Why do so many wrestling fans have nothing but bad things to say about Stephanie McMahon?

Ask Stephanie herself, and she'll probably tell you that people are confusing the personality of her on-screen alter-ego with that of her real-life, mother-of-three self (although, to be fair, she doesn't exactly help that confusion by throwing fourth wall-breaking jabs at CM Punk).

Then there's the fact that she's the daughter of Vince McMahon, and therefore seen to share all or at least some of his less favourable characteristics; and the wife of Triple H, and therefore seen to have helped him stay at the top of the wrestling industry for so long.

Plus: she's a millionaire, who was born into money - that's bound to attract a bit of hate, unless you happen to share a blood line with crown-wearing aristocrats who used to oppress our ancestors (which the McMahon Family, whatever the rumours, simply don't).

What point were we making again? Oh yeah, Paige says that Stephanie McMahon was supportive of her during those tough times. Aww. (No, seriously, that's really nice to her - cut her, them both, some slack.)
