10 Things We Learned From Paul Wight On Talk Is Jericho

8. He Viewed Himself As A WWE Outsider

Paul Wight Talk Is Jericho

Chris Jericho is 100% sure that WWE should've booked Big Show as a "modern-day André (The Giant)", especially during his final few years with the promotion. The Canadian ranted several times about this throughout the pod, and said that Show as a part-timer just made sense.

That's when Wight made a very good point.

Paul butted in to say, "But I wasn't theirs". Stopping dead in his tracks, Jericho then listened as Wight laid out the truth behind his hidden 'outsider' status in the organisation. "I came from WCW", he said, almost offering up an excuse for why McMahon's might was never fully behind him.

Vince is well-known for favouring his own creations, which Paul understands. Despite being handed the Big Show name and pushed heavily over the years, he never had a hope in hell of being the guy in WWE, and he knew that deep down. That's something that became more apparent as the years ticked on.
