6. Flair Never Asked About WrestleMania VIII

Ric Flair vs. Hulk Hogan was the WrestleMania VIII main event that never was. As the story goes, Vince McMahon got cold feet on the idea following dire business on a prolonged house show sprint between both men in late-1991; Bruce Prichard has confirmed there is some truth to that on his 'Something To Wrestle With' pod.

Flair doesn't know the real reason why, because he never actually asked.

He was far too busy running hard and working his butt off to sit Vinnie Mac down and ask the WWF boss to explain his decisions. Looking back now, the 'Nature Boy' thinks it had more to do with a fractured relationship between Vince and Hogan than anything else. If they did sh*t the bed business-wise on the road, he doesn't know about it.

Rather than sulking about a massive match with Hulk, Ric focused on the bout he did have scheduled against Randy Savage. That was still a winner in his book, and he was determined to have the best match he possibly could on his first 'Mania appearance.
