9. Shawn Was Responsible For Changing The WrestleMania XV Main Event

This interesting little piece of information comes early on, before Shawn is even introduced on the show.

Russo is giving the interview some hype beforehand, and he talks of his memories of Shawn from back in the day. Russo remarks that despite his less than cheery reputation in the sport, Shawn was the only wrestler at the time to actually threaten him.

The most interesting aspect of this is that it was a result of a match that Shawn wasn't even involved in. As the WWF moved towards WrestleMania XV, the main event was a planned three-way between Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock and Mankind.

For whatever reason Shawn wasn't really interested in this, and he managed to convince Austin that it shouldn't be a three-way. Austin went to Vince McMahon and the match was changed.

Russo was left with the responsibility of telling Mick Foley that his WrestleMania main event would have to wait, a heartbreaking task I'm sure you'll agree.

Instead of going straight to Michaels and asking why this had all happened, Russo decided it was a better idea to take it out on Triple H instead. Great idea Vince, great idea...

Shawn obviously found out, and was incensed as he confronted Russo about it. Russo recalls Shawn saying 'I know I can take you', which is an immensely underwhelming sentence considering the build Russo gives it.
