10 Things We Learned From Something Else To Wrestle With On Biker Undertaker

1. The Undertaker Felt He Could Never Go Back To The Deadman

Perhaps the biggest takeaway from the show is that The Undertaker told Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard that he could never go back to his classic character once he left it behind. The creative brain trust disagreed. To them, it was always the plan to return 'Taker to his roots after a few years playing biker.

Even as WWE approached crunch time before a planned Buried Alive Match at Survivor Series 2003 between he and McMahon, 'Taker wouldn't budge. He thought it'd be a step backwards to work the old-school gimmick and act like a zombie again after being written off TV.

That's when Prichard came up with the idea to compromise.

If The Undertaker would admit defeat and return to playing the traditional Deadman character at WrestleMania XX, he could still work the faster in-ring style he had grown fond of. Thus, a hybrid 'Taker was born. He'd still have the timeless slow walk during his entrance and mid-match sit up spot, but he'd mix that with some MMA influence and a more dynamic work style overall.
