When The Undertaker returned as a bad-ass biker at Judgment Day 2000, he was still rocking his long hair. Though he didn't have to dye it black anymore, it was still a source of irritation to the man himself. That wasn't a problem, because those calling the shots backstage in the WWF thought a trip to the barber shop was long overdue.

After turning heel in late-2001, 'Taker buzzed off his long locks. That was a relief to him as much as it was Vince McMahon; Bruce hints during the episode that The Undertaker occasionally mentioned to him personally how sick he was of having long hair.

The general feeling amongst creative was that his flowing locks made him look too similar to the classic character they were trying to get away from anyway. After hearing that, 'Taker decided it was time to give up the hair, but he kept his bandana look.

His haircut killed the proverbial two birds with one stone.
