Shortly after receiving his WWE release, Lio Rush took to social media to suggest that we'd maybe seen the last of Lio in a wrestling ring.

At 25 years of age and with so many wrestling options and possibilities ahead of him, it seemed crazy to think that Rush had potentially hung up the tights. When we asked Lio about this, he certainly seemed open to still wrestling - it just seems as if his WWE run has left him severely burnt out.

In response to asking if he still has a love for the wrestling business, the charismatic star said, "I think a big part of it was being burnt out. Obviously, I still have a love for professional wrestling. It’s still there – somewhere! Even before the release, I was saying to myself, ‘Man, I just feel like I’m not gonna be wrestling for that much longer.' And I do think a big part of that was just being burned out, going through some traumatising experiences in WWE, and just me overall just wanting to be away from it."

Lio continued on, "I think now is just the perfect time to do that. With the world in the shape that it’s in - not knowing when wrestling shows are gonna start back up, as far as independent shows - I feel like this is the perfect time to just take a breath, focus on some things I’ve always wanted to focus on, like my music, [and] spending some time with my family."
