10 Things We Learned From The Payback Go-Home WWE Raw (April 24)
8. Crews Control
Curt Hawkins has made jobbing like a fool into an artform. Labelling his current Raw losing streak 'The Curt Hawkins Star Factory', he's now claimed any apparent successes of The Big Show and Finn Balor following their respective victories over him after his sudden arrival during the 'Superstar Shake-up'.
And if anybody needed the boost of a big win, it was Apollo Crews. A complete failure on SmackDown Live!, his drafting to Monday Night Raw only occurred via the dreaded graphics package, and he's taken two weeks since to even make an in-ring appearance.
Polishing Hawkins off with his spinning powerbomb, Crews was joined in the ring by an enthused Titus O'Neill in the post-match. All hugs, backslaps and selfies, the 'Titus Brand' was apparently hoping to earn the services of Crews in the wake of his victory. On commentary, Booker T said he could smell money, but the only scent in the arena looked to be far more unpleasant.
This was at least a victory, but the bland Crews has lightyears to travel before his charisma matches his genuinely impressive in-ring style. The O'Neill alliance may head absolutely nowhere (like most thing's he's involved with), but with a win and a storyline, Crews has been furnished with more so far than his fruitless spell on the blue brand.
