Two back-to-back stories from a Germany tour bring some humour and light relief to what otherwise sounds like a difficult time for the Japanese star. As he put it;

"April 18, 1995 in Dusseldorf, Germany. Around 7:00am I woke up and was sick to my stomach. I felt nauseous and couldn't stop vomiting. I am cold and I feel horrible. I could only eat fruit during the day. I had a match with the 1-2-3 Kid and I was out of breath right away. My legs also hurt during it. This all seems to be from the milk I bought yesterday. I got back from the show and took some sleeping pills Bam Bam Bigelow gave me to get a good nights sleep."

Followed by;

"April 19, 1995 in Hamburg, Germany. I woke up in the morning and my whole body was sluggish. I could barely walk. I had a match against Kid and despite my condition it was the best match I have ever had. After the match Bigelow told me, "You can only take half of yesterday's medicine!" but I asked him to check on me the next morning if I did not end up waking up from it, which he did."

Certain...supplements were particularly popular with wrestlers around this time, and it feels as though the "medicine" might have been something else. It speaks to both Hakushi and Kid that the two could have had a match Shinzaki was so pleased with, especially if Waltman - also a fan of "medicinal" input at the time - was high on a similar supply.
