Huge WWE Lawsuit Has Been DROPPED (WWE News)
The WWE shareholders' lawsuit relating to the merger with UFC has been dropped.
In a major development, the WWE shareholders' lawsuit, which was due to start in Baltimore tomorrow, has been dropped.
This lawsuit alleged that Vince McMahon pushed forward with the deal to merge WWE with UFC to form TKO under the Endeavor banner, with McMahon favouring that deal due to how it would see him retain power within WWE. As a result of this, the claim is that McMahon did not fully explore potential deals with other bidders that could've represented better value for WWE shareholders.
The four-day trial was due to start on Monday in Delaware Chancery Court, as overseen by Vice Chancellor J. Travis Laster. Last month saw Vice Chancellor Laster rule that disgraced former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, WWE President Nick Khan, and three others - WWE CCO Paul Levesque, former WWE CEO Stephanie McMahon, and former WWE COO Brad Blum - had destroyed evidence by using the auto-delete function on the Signal messaging service. Due to that, five "damaging facts" against the defendants in this case were to be treated as "presumptively true," including that Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel promised to give Vince McMahon a continued role with the company post-merger.
The defendants in this case are/were Vince McMahon, Nick Khan, Paul Levesque, and former WWE Co-Presidents and board members George Barrios and Michelle Wilson. McMahon, Khan, Levesque, Emanuel, and TKO President and COO Mark Shapiro were amongst those due to give testimony during this trial.
However, per Bloomberg, Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann LLP's Greg Varallo, an attorney representing the shareholders, said that the trial was now no longer listed on the Delaware Chancery Court's calendar. Since then, Wrestlenomics and POST Wrestling's Brandon Thurston has spoken to Court Administrator of the Delaware Court of Chancery Tamara Burton, who has confirmed that the trial has been cancelled. It's not known yet whether a settlement has been reached or is still being worked on.

The trial was previously scheduled to start on Monday.
