10 Things We Learned From Triple H On WWE’s After The Bell

2. WrestleMania 36 Was The First Triple H Has Ever Missed

'Mania 36, despite the fact he was involved in pre-taping night one's main event, was a painful experience for Triple H. It marked the first WrestleMania production he'd missed since joining WWE back in mid-1995 (he debuted shortly after 'Mania XI), and that doesn't seem to sit well with him.

If Trips has ever had to skip working the card due to injuries, he's still managed to be there backstage and watch the show from Gorilla. That wasn't the case this year. He wasn't in the PC when 'Mania 36 was being recorded, and he found the whole thing bloody weird.

For someone reared on McMahon-like micromanagement, it must've been.

Triple H didn't reveal whether or not he thought everything at 'Mania hit, but did say that going from playing UNO with his kids to watching the biggest show of the year like he wasn't even part of things was a strange adventure that he's not sure he enjoyed.
