10 Things We Learned From VICE’s Dark Side Of The Ring: Dino Bravo
4. Dino's Wife & Daughter Found Him Dead
That smuggling would cost Dino his life.
On 10 March 1993, Diane and young Claudia (who was now six years old) returned home just after midnight to find Bravo slumped in a chair. He was obviously dead, had numerous gunshot wounds all over his body and the gun was sitting right next to him. Weirdly, there was no sign of a struggle or a break in.
It's seriously tough to watch both women fight back tears as they talk about this. Diane didn't really want to say much on the subject (she must've replayed that moment over and over again in her head), and Claudia broke down as she recalled drawing a picture for her father and laying it on his casket.
VICE don't shirk the grisly details in their documentaries, and this is another example of that. They, for better or worse, are willing to let real human emotion take centre stage if it means as many facts as possible leak out from guests.
