10 Things We Learned From VICE’s Dark Side Of The Ring: Jimmy Snuka

Another harrowing tale.

Inside the ring, 'Superfly' Jimmy Snuka was a humble, muscular islander from Fiji who'd show his respect for fans by kneeling and twisting his fingers intro a trademark pose. His daredevil, high-risk style had everyone talking, and he was undoubtably one of the WWF's biggest stars in the early-1980s.

Outside the ring, controversy would come to define Jimmy's life.

VICE explored the baffling mystery involving Snuka and his ex-girlfriend Nancy Argentino in the latest episode of their 'Dark Side Of The Ring' series. Last week's 'Brawl For All' special was a light-hearted break following some heavy subjects (the Chris Benoit tragedy and New Jack's career, for example), but the producers returned with a bang here.

Their grisly exploration of Nancy's death, the impact it had on her family, the way WWE and Vince McMahon handled it, and how the investigation was reignited some 30 years after it appeared to be a shut case is gripping stuff. Throughout, it becomes clear there are still more questions than definitive answers.

Here's everything learned from 45 minutes that covered love, drugs, dementia, homelessness, conflicting stories and more...
