Admittedly, this isn't something VICE spoke about in their documentary, but it's essential knowledge for anyone pondering 'Brawl For All' and the tourney's silliness.

Ex-WWE creative team member John Piermarini credited the directors of 'Dark Side Of The Ring' for another stellar episode on Twitter, and then revealed that 'Brawl' almost happened again around 10 years later. Yes, Vince McMahon toyed with the idea of running a follow-up shoot fighting tournament in 2009-2010, and he reportedly wanted the NXT cast to be involved.

The thought of seeing Daniel Bryan, Bray Wyatt (Husky Harris), David Otunga, Ryback (Skip Sheffield), Wade Barrett and more competing in very-real fights on a staged reality-style WWE offshoot is ridiculous now. In fairness, it would've been ridiculous then, and it's a good thing this never happened.

Who knows what McMahon's logic was here. Did he really think that fans were tripping over one another to watch Justin Gabriel and Darren Young awkwardly trade shoot blows in a WWE ring? Thank f*ck this idea was left on the cutting room floor.
