Once he'd won 'Brawl For All', all of Gunn's fears were confirmed. Rather than pushing him to the moon, the WWF programmed him against tough man fighter Butterbean at WrestleMania XV, and gave Bart just a few months to prepare by putting him through some amateur boxing training.

That wasn't enough.

Butterbean (who now walks with a stick, incidentally) popped up on 'Dark Side Of The Ring' to state his belief that he was only hired as a "punishment" for Bart 'spoiling federation plans'. As he walked through the hallway backstage at 'Mania, Bean was surprised to see Vince McMahon smiling at him - he thinks the boss wanted him to KO Bart ASAP.

The WWF supposedly wanted Butterbean to teach Gunn a lesson. Later, once he'd battered the wrestler, Bean was shocked to hear his kids say others at school told them he'd "killed a man on TV". He had to settle them down and assure them that wasn't the case.
