If anyone reading this has ever played the old Crush Hour video game, they'll know what we're talking about here. In the opening of that game, a phoney news reporter said that Vince McMahon had seized control of every TV network and used that power to put his WWE superstars on different shows.

We're potentially about to live in a world Pacific Coast whipped up for their Twisted Metal knock-off in 2003.

In Variety, McMahon told reporters that his talent will appear on FOX programming outside SmackDown Live when the show changes networks in October. This is all part of the deal engineered by WWE with the station, and it means we could see John Cena joining the NFL team for some pre-game banter in the new season.

That's just an example, but it's a realistic one. On the subject of football, Variety says WWE will receive plugs throughout live NFL game broadcasts. That's certainly interesting given McMahon's wish to build his own XFL as an alternative to the league.
