24 includes one of the most heartbreaking real life stories you'll ever hear.

In 2012, Drew flew home upon hearing that his mother Angela was really sick. It felt like his world had collapsed when doctors then told him and his family that she had three days to live - McIntyre understandably found that hard to process, and he couldn't fathom life without his mother.

It's seriously tough to watch Drew relive the pain he experienced when watching a woman he admired more than any other deteriorate. One night, when nobody else was around, he locked eyes with Angela from her bedside. She couldn't speak, but he did, and he's eternally grateful that he had that moment to express his love for her.

Angela's passing left a hole in Drew's heart. His pro wrestling career suffered the knock-on effects of his personal agony, and he started drinking more and more to mask the sorrow he was feeling. Booze + mental torture was a lethal combination for his career.
