10 Things We Learned From WWE Chronicle: Dean Ambrose

4. His Body Is Broken...

Dean Ambrose Chronicle 11
WWE Network

Throughout the piece, Ambrose complains like an old man looking for his slippers. His perpetual pain is totally understandable - working a physically demanding job and schedule without rest will do that - but it's worth keeping in mind that Dean is just 32 years-old. Nobody should be a broken bag of bones at that age because of their job.

Yet there's every sign Dean is. He quips to Roman Reigns that he needs a Zimmer frame to scale a gently inclined ramp, before grimacing as he ducks into a car. Asked of his big return, he tells Seth Rollins he feels like "an old, old man."

He reflects on years of barbed wire, glass, fire, thumbtacks - a roundabout way of saying his chronic pain isn't down to WWE - but concludes he wouldn't have done it differently. "You gotta live life," he muses. Amen, sister.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
