10 Things We Learned From WWE Payback

2. Kane Makes Allegiance Clear

One of the big talking points heading into Payback revolved around the idea that Kane would be fired if he didn't help Seth Rollins retain the WWE Title. It wasn't exactly the most riveting of storylines, but it did allow for some questions over whether or not Rollins would walk out with the title. Would Kane turn babyface, leaving The Authority? As it turned out, that didn't happen, and the one-time 'Big Red Machine' interfered numerous times on the champion's behalf, ensuring that the gold was staying firmly around his waist. From the off, there weren't really any teases that Kane would cost Rollins the belt, which may have been deemed too obvious by WWE. Even so, the story isn't necessarily all crystal-clear, there's still room for Kane to turn his back on The Authority yet. Hopefully, the creative team don't try and squeeze a feud out of the whole situation, pitting a babyface Kane against Rollins for the title, but stranger things have happened.
