10 Things We Learned From WWE Raw (May 22)

8. Reviving Enzo

A new 'whodunnit' kicked off on Monday's show, as Enzo Amore was brutalised backstage by a mystery assailant. Laid face down in a heap when discovered backstage by Big Cass, Amore was none the wiser when quizzed by the rent-a-cops, leading Cassady to threaten violence on the anonymous attacker.

There are two avenues WWE could choose to take with the story, and the hope is that they'll avoid a needless twist in favour of the obvious.

Off television since Dash Wilder's house show injury, The Revival can claim to have chased The New Day off Monday Night Raw following two dominant displays against the former Tag Team Champions just before the 'Superstar Shake-up'. They've not been seen on camera since, but a return to action taking out their former NXT peers would be an ideal re-introduction for the devilish duo.

Their matches in the developmental brand were stellar, with Dash and Dawson's traditional tag team style meshing perfectly with Enzo and Cass' babyface-in-peril formula. A formula which could be cruelly severed if Cass ends up as the eventual assailant.

Their split has been inevitable since the day Vince McMahon clapped eyes on the unteachable height of Enzo's big buddy, but it would be worth keeping them together for one last run against their former rivals if only for the quality contests.
