10 Things We Learned From WWE SmackDown (June 6)

2. Hit For Six

Left to get on with a wrestling match after the lengthy Money In The Bank show-and-tell, the familiar trios paired off, as Naomi, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch faced off with the presumably on hiatus Welcoming Committee.

The match was nothing to write home about and certainly not on par with their Backlash match or the mass brawl that triggered the inclusion of the magic briefcase to begin with.

However, it was at least a pleasing effort to put over the two talents from SmackDown Live!'s dynamic women's division that currently need the biggest lift.

Lana returned to ringside following her earlier dismissal, scooping Naomi's legs to allow Tamina to nail the champion with a superkick and score a huge victory for the villainous triumvirate. The win did much more for the younger Snuka specifically, as she gradually progresses from a punchline draft to a genuine contender on the blue brand.

Meanwhile, it gave Lana instant retribution for the earlier condescending treatment and Naomi motivation to offer up her Woman's Title as a chance for redemption against the 'Ravishing Russian'. The booking was gloriously simple, tying up loose ends and leaving characters stronger than they were before the show went on the air.
