10 Things We Learned From You Cannot Kill David Arquette

4. Living His Best Life

You Cannot Kill David Arquette
Super LTD

The transformative impact this whole experience had on David Arquette's life starts coming into focus when his training comes together, the pieces start falling into place, and his revitalised wrestling career takes off once again, with the documentary kicking into a more upbeat gear.

Arquette looks like he's having a blast. We see him working with the likes of Ethan Page and Timothy Thatcher. He shaves another wrestler bald to the delight of the NWA's Billy Corgan and Tim Storm, then gets thrown through a table by Bully Ray. Basically, he's killing it.

The journey's positive impact stretched far beyond the squared circle, however, with David's wife, Christina McLarty Arquette, saying he had transformed into a "superhero" during the process. Her partner lost 50lbs, quit smoking, and ditched the booze. A total transformation, physically and mentally, and it is reflected in David's bright demeanour at this part in the doc.

It's also a complete U-turn from the film's early stages, when Arquette was being dismissed by everyone from Brian Knobbs to rough-edged backyarders. Now, he's swimming in offers from some of the sport's top indies.
