10 Things You Should Miss About ECW

6. The Blue World Order

If there was ever a gimmick that shouldn't have worked, it was this dumb knock-off of WCW's New World Order. The NWO (Hogan, Nash, and Hall) were the biggest thing in wrestling, and therefore ripe for parody. The Blue Meanie, meanwhile, was one of the lamest gimmicks in wrestling, but somehow made it work - just like the Blue World Order, featuring Meanie, Stevie Richards, and Nova amazingly managed to hit the mark.

Maybe it was the sight of Hollywood Nova, Da Blue Guy, and Big Stevie Cool wearing those ridiculous crop tops with the B.W.O. logo on them. Maybe it was the obvious amount of fun they were having in a no-pressure parody role.

Maybe it was the fact that as the real N.W.O. spun out of control, adding member after member, they really did need to be knocked down a peg.

Whatever it was, they're dearly missed. A gimmick this corny that actually works is a rare occurrence indeed.
