10 Things We Never Thought We Would See In WWE In The 2010s

1. The Streak Ending

Next to the Montreal Screwjob, it is hard to argue that anything comes close to being recognized as the single most shocking moment in WWE history when Brock Lesnar ended The Undertaker's 21-0 undefeated streak at WrestleMania 30. A staple of The Show of Shows for over two decades, it got to a point where no one thought it would ever be broken, much less in a match that had such a weak buildup. In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 30, Undertaker got the better of Brock at every turn, except for on the go-home edition of Raw when The Beast Incarnate laid him out with an F5. In the minds of many, that made the ending outcome of their 'Mania match beyond predictable, yet WWE swerved its entire audience by having Lesnar win in clean fashion, anyway. Time stood still as fans attempted to process what they had just seen. The Streak was over. It was around 2008 or 2009, the end of the previous decade, that fans were convinced Undertaker would retire undefeated on the grand stage. Or at the very least lose to an up-and-comer such as Roman Reigns or Bray Wyatt who could have benefited from being the one in 21-1. But Brock was undoubtedly cemented on a level all of his own with the win and has had maintained that mystique ever since. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion as to whether 'Taker should have lost that fateful night (if ever), but what can not be disputed is that no one could have seen that coming. Nothing may ever top that moment as being the most shocking for the rest of the decade.
