10 Things WWE Did Right At Fastlane

The return of The Viper and a quality main event were definite highlights.

The first edition of WWE Fastlane is history and it was a show featuring some pretty good matches although the entire thing was only average at best. It's one of those things where WWE didn't really need a PPV this month, but they have an obligation to fill so they put it out there as best they could. It was a show without the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar while Roman Reigns beat Daniel Bryan for the right to face Lesnar at WrestleMania 31. Reigns already earned that right by winning the Royal Rumble, but WWE needed a main event this show so they tried to put some doubt in there. What was really noticeable during the show was the crowd was dead for much of it. In the last hour when Rusev beat Cena and Reigns beat Bryan the crowd came alive a bit more, but for much of the show it sounded like they couldn't care less what was going on. That's something that has always confused me because if you're spending a good amount of money to see a PPV shouldn't you go to the show to make some noise? Cheer and boo who you want. Be active. Sitting there making no noise is just lame. Come on, Memphis fans. You can do better. Part of the blame for the crowd has to go towards the product too. Since Fastlane didn't feel like a major show and it hurt the atmosphere around the event. As an optimistic wrestling fan, looking on the bright side is something that I've always tried to do. If we're negative then why are we watching, right? While there were several things that we can gripe about it, there were some good things about the show. Here's a look them.
