10 Things WWE Did Right At Fastlane

4. Sting's Presence Was Felt Without Saying A Word

Sting's face to face showdown with Triple H was a big selling point of Fastlane. We all knew what it was going to lead to, but there were definitely questions going in about how they were going to set up the match at WrestleMania. Triple H did all the talking. Sting just stared at him. He didn't laugh or smile or really look angry at all. It was a stone-faced expression and it upset Hunter, who went from trying to be nice to turn into a jerk by insulting the Stinger. When Hunter tried to take out Sting with a sledgehammer, Sting grabbed a baseball bat, put it on Hunter's throat, pointed at the WrestleMania sign a couple of times and that was it. Sting "won" their segment thanks to a bat shot to the gut and also a Scorpion Death Drop. When they face off at WrestleMania 31 in what could be Sting's only WrestleMania match, Sting will probably win that too. For now, we can speculate what might happen in the next five weeks and when we might see Sting again. If this was in front of a louder crowd and in a bigger market where WCW was really good, chances are Sting would have got the biggest ovation of the night. It was also smart of WWE to announce later in the show that the match was official for WrestleMania. They didn't want to wait until Raw. That was smart. It got people talking right away.
