10. The Return Of Cody Rhodes Might Be Coming Soon
Stardust was a good and sometimes interesting character in the beginning of his WWE run, but the momentum that he once had was gone. WWE decided to add an unannounced Kickoff Match to Payback that saw Stardust take on R-Truth. It ended with a clean win for R-Truth even though he's the older wrestler that is closer to retirement than he is a big push. Normally a win by Truth over Stardust would be a bad thing, but not in this case. After the match, the announcers talked about the future of Stardust while suggesting that maybe Cody Rhodes needs to re-think things. It's basically another way of saying that a gimmick change is coming because WWE knows Stardust isn't going to work and get him very far. The end of Stardust will be a positive thing for Cody. He's only 30 years old and has such a bright future ahead of him that WWE needs to go back to pushing him as Cody to see what they can get out of his career.
