10 Things WWE Fans Need To Know About Austin Aries
5. Grew Disillusioned By Life In TNA
Upon departing the company in the Summer of 2015, Austin Aries was only too willing to be outspoken about what led to him leaving TNA. According to the man himself, his contract simply expired and he was never really asked about an extension to his deal. The phrase Aries used during interviews was that "someone dropped the ball" in respect to his position, and that he wasn't happy to have the proverbial rug pulled out from underneath him when TNA World Heavyweight Champion. It seems the wrestler feels he was never given ample opportunity to prove his worth to the promotion as champ. Quickly after leaving his TNA contract behind, Aries rapidly re-joined Ring Of Honor. This preceded the announcement that he had signed with WWE and would take his place on the NXT roster going forward. It appears that Aries thinks TNA were silly to let him go, so it's notable to mention that he is a strong-headed individual and not afraid of being opinionated. That feeds into his on-screen character.
