Today's wrestling fans love heels. They love the bad guys and girls, the villains. They are so much more entertaining and intriguing than the cookie-cutter babyfaces that dominate the product. Their motivations are not as simple, what they are allowed to do on television is more interesting and, simply put, they are just cooler than anyone else on the show. As it turns out, fans are not the only ones who enjoy the villains. The performers themselves enjoy playing the baddies more than the heroes. Count Eva Marie among them, as she revealed to Female First.
Absolutely, everyone loves a bad girl! To me thats whats amazing about being a WWE Diva in that you get to be whatever character you want to be and for me being a bad girl is the easiest.
Eva Marie has exhibited excellent facial expressions and body language as a heel. She looks every bit the egocentric, stuck-up wicked witch that the audience is supposed to perceive her as and that is something she does not get enough credit for. While her ring skills are behind the curve, one must remember that she is only a year into her training. When those abilities finally do catch up to the rest of her performance, the potential exists for Eva Marie to develop into the total package.
Erik Beaston is a freelance pro wrestling writer who likes long walks in the park, dandelions and has not quite figured out that this introduction is not for Match.com. He resides in Parts Unknown, where he hosts weekly cookouts with Kane, The Ultimate Warrior, Papa Shango and The Boogeyman. Be jealous.
