10 Things WWE Fans Need To Know About Finn Balor

8. He Spent Eight Years In New Japan

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXyAM9-9gHc There's an old saying that goes "if you can make it in New York, you can make it anywhere." Many wrestling fans believe that if you can make it in Japan, you can make it anywhere. If that is the case, then Finn should be in great shape upon his arrival on NXT. Balor spent eight years in New Japan, where he honed his craft and earned his stripes. This is no small feat, as Japanese wrestling fans not only expect hard hitting action, they also expect a level of professionalism that some workers just cannot deliver. Japanese fans are extremely respectful of the product and they keep their attention heavily focused on the matches during live events. If a guy does not have it, then he will fail in this environment. There are virtually no jaded wrestling fans, no opportunities to lay the blame for a rough match on the crowd who are just not feeling it on any given night. Japanese fans are willing to give you a chance and when the bell rings, they sit back to see if you have what it takes. For eight years, Balor proved he has it. He did everything asked of him and he showed with each match that he was willing to do whatever it took to get over and to get better. When he came to Japan, he was a young man that was hungry to learn as much as possible. When he came to WWE, he did so with a world of experience behind him. Gaining much of that experience in New Japan will do nothing but help him in the long run.
