The WWE Championship match was once again a total disappointment, as Jinder Mahal continues to stink up the show with arguably the most boring championship reign in history. Mahal looks like a champion and carries himself like one too, but he still works like a lower card performer. The Modern Day Maharaja is a failure as SmackDown Live's top guy.

The one bright spot from this match was that for the first time in this godforsaken reign, a referee decided to eject the Singh Brothers from ringside. It was too late and it did lead to Charles Robinson missing a pinfall for Shinsuke Nakamura, but it finally happened. The Singhs are always getting involved in Jinder's matches - why hasn't Daniel Bryan barred them from ringside yet?

That is as positive as it is going to get. Jinder Mahal and Shinsuke Nakamura’s feud has been a major drag on SmackDown since it began, but the bigger problem is Jinder and the title. Mahal will likely move into a feud with AJ Styles next - lets see what 'The Phenomenal One' can get out of the 'Modern Day Maharaja'.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
