10 Things WWE Got Right At SummerSlam 2016

6. Giving The Women's Tag Match Time

Surprisingly, the Women's Championship match took place before the women's tag team contest pitting Becky Lynch, Naomi & Carmella against Natalya, Alexa Bliss and the returning Nikki Bella.

The women's division has certainly come a long way from SummerSlams of years past in which their matches were far from serious affairs. In 2016, the women had two different matches on the second biggest show of the year, with each contest getting 10+ minutes of in-ring time.

WWE should be commended for not shaving time off the second women's match of the evening. While it wasn't the greatest six-man or six-woman tag match that's ever taken place, the women deserved the time to be able to tell their story.

Especially with a show that ran over 4 hours, it would've been easy for WWE to cut time off this mach in order to shorten up the show. They made the right call by not doing so, and even if they did, the 11 minutes that the match lasted was fair.

it also was a great call to surprise the fans with the return of Nikki Bella...
