It was such a brief thing that if you weren't paying attention you may have missed it. In the spring of 2002 he was transitioning to more of a babyface role as the tag team partner of Goldust when he decided to join the NWO. Whether it was planned to be a really short run or not, we really don't know. It might have been cut short because he really had something special with Goldust, so maybe WWE changed their mind. It's not like the NWO was that great in WWE anyway. Within a few weeks, he received a superkick from Shawn Michaels that led to him being kicked out of the NWO.
