10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Brock Lesnar

8. His Last Match With Kurt Angle Was Actually In Japan

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NR6EiZsI3w Lesnar's biggest rival in WWE was Kurt Angle. They had several major matches together including the WrestleMania 19 main event and a 60 minute Ironman Match on Smackdown. If you only follow you might think that his last match with Angle happened in 2003. If that's what you think you're wrong. Their last match took place in Japan on June 29, 2007 for New Japan Pro Wrestling. At the time, Angle was an active wrestler in TNA Wrestling (he still is) while Lesnar was trying to figure out what he wanted to do his life. The match actually took place four weeks after his MMA debut for the Dynamite USA promotion. While their matches in WWE were better than this one, it was still an exciting 12 minute match. It looked like Lesnar was going to win after he hit an F5, but Angle was able to kick out. Angle finished him off with the Ankle Lock, which led to Lesnar tapping out for the loss. A clean loss via submission by Lesnar? That's a rare finish for a Lesnar match. He also had matches in Japan with the likes of Tensai (as Giant Bernard) and Akebono among others. We don't know if Kurt Angle will ever be back in WWE, but if he does return home it would make a lot of sense to have another match with Lesnar.
