https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0CHQ63wHEI It seems like ages ago when Bryan was being booked as a singles star in late 2010 and early 2011 that had this gimmick as this nerdy guy that somehow was able to garner the interest of the lovely Bella Twins. There was a scene on the January 24th, 2011 edition of Raw where the Bella Twins were fuming backstage, so they went to hang out with Bryan to cheer up. When they opened a door, Bryan was seen making out on a couch with Gail Kim. He mentioned that he was dating Gail for about six months. With all due respect to all four of those performers, it was a poorly acted segment and it wasn't too long until the angle was completely forgotten. It was WWE's way of WWE trying to give Bryan a personality. Gail was out of the company soon after while Bryan's lady man persona wasn't the hit that WWE likely thought it would be. Bryan has said over the years that it was this angle that led to him hanging out with Brie a lot, so at least they can thank this forgotten storyline for leading them to marriage.
