10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Ultimate Warrior

9. That Papa Shango Used A Voodoo Curse On Him

"This is unfortunate." - Vince McMahon on commentary. Yes Vince McMahon, it certainly was. Once the Ultimate Warrior was out of the title picture, they had to give him feuds with other heels. For whatever reason, they decided to go with Papa Shango as his rival. The result of that was a feud where Shango put a curse on Warrior that caused him to split up green blood.
There was also the time when Warrior had black ink, which was supposed to be blood of some kind, pouring down his body. Shango even did the same thing to Gene Okerlund among others. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbLH8Npfzxs The feud didn't really lead to a blowoff match at a PPV or anything of that nature. All it did was stick in our minds as one of the silliest storylines in wrestling history. Look at that video up above one more time. Green puke? And the camera closes is on it too. The early 1990s in WWE was not a great time. Not at all.
