10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Ultimate Warrior

7. The Mirror Incident With Hulk Hogan

In the buildup to Warrior's WCW Halloween Havoc 1998 showdown with Hulk Hogan, they tried to push the idea that Warrior was playing mind games with the Hulkster. He messed with his buddy The Disciple, he used black smoke as a distraction and he was clearly getting to Hogan. On the October 5, 1998 edition of Nitro, they took it to another (stupid) level by having Warrior appear in a mirror. Hogan could see it. We could see it. The announcers could see it. But Eric Bischoff, who was in the room with Hogan, had no idea what he was talking about. As soon as Warrior showed up in the mirror, Hogan looked ready to fight. WCW's main announcer Tony Schiavone said "look at that!" Larry Zbyszko foolishly said "he's in the wall" then Bobby Heenan corrected him by saying he was in the mirror. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78XbX5tVFeY The image of Warrior started laughing in the mirror as Hogan cut a promo on him and Bischoff was freaking out saying "look at what!" Then Warrior just disappeared. Everybody at home could see it, the announcers could see it and even Hogan could too. Everybody could see it except Eric Bischoff. It's a shame that Bischoff couldn't see his company falling apart at that very moment too. It was WCW silliness at its absolute worst.
