10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About 2019
7. They Messed Up Seth Rollins' Babyface Run
Some will point to Seth's own social media arrogance, others will aim fire at WWE's inability to book likeable babyfaces these days. Both arguments have merit, and there's one thing everyone can agree on: Rollins had real potential to be a face sensation that'd make Roman Reigns green with envy.
So much for that.
After earning rave reviews as a workhorse for much of 2018, Seth marched into the new year looking like a million bucks. He was the people's choice to supplant part-time champ Brock Lesnar in the title hot seat, and his WrestleMania triumph was greeted with glee. Then, WWE sputtered by booking him with Baron Corbin and making him look like real-life lover Becky Lynch's bitch.
By the time Rollins was burning down Bray Wyatt's 'Firefly Fun House' set, fans had soured on him. Literally nothing about Seth screamed top babyface, and his descent into 'You Suck' territory was hastened by HIAC's awkward finish.
