10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Hulk Hogan

3. His Suicidal Thoughts

2009 was a bad time in Hulk's personal life. Not only was his son Nick reeling from an eight-month prison sentence following a nasty car crash that killed his friend, Hogan's relationship with his wife Linda was also falling to pieces. By the end of the year, things had all become too much for the legend.

At that point, he considered how easy it'd be to commit suicide.

This is not something WWE will openly talk about these days, and with good reason. There's been a black cloud hanging over the company in that respect since the Chris Benoit tragedy, and it wouldn't exactly be positive PR to start prattling on about the fact Hulk freakin' Hogan, one of the biggest stars in history, thought about taking his own life.

Other articles covering Hulk's comments on Oprah Winfrey's "Where Are They Now?" show reported how Hogan was drinking heavily at the time and couldn't comprehend his marriage breaking down. It was a dark period, one he thankfully managed to come through unscathed.
