10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About JBL

1. No Remorse

As disturbing as all of these stories are, they have one thing in common that continues to this day - with the exception of the attack on The Blue Meanie, JBL has yet to express any remorse for any of them. Instead, the 50-year-old announcer continues to behave like a high school student and shift blame like a kindergartner.

Rather than apologize to those he offended after the Nazi salute, he merely released a statement claiming that he wasn't the character he portrayed, defending himself against any allegations of Antisemitism. He's also admitted to hazing in the past, but has gone out of his way to emphasize that he makes no apologies for it, and believes he is doing the company and its talent a favor with his actions. Recently, JBL has also taken to Twitter-blocking anyone who expresses support for Mauro Ranallo on the social-media site - even if they don't mention Layfield in any way - proving that his skin is far thinner than any of those he torments.

Of course, that would all be easier to stomach if the company showed a little remorse on his behalf, but that hasn't happened, either. JBL has never been punished for his behavior, and continues to enjoy a lucrative job with the company.

According to Justin Roberts, Vince McMahon once made a joke about him "losing" his passport, showing that management has no problem with Layfield's tactics - so don't expect any meaningful change, even if he is trying to lay low right now.
