10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Jim Ross

9. Pinning Triple H

While JR is obviously more used to experiencing professional wrestling from behind an announcer table, he has dipped his toes into the world he's spent a lifetime commentating on several times over the years, most of which were ill-advised.

From wrestling Jonathan Coachman in 2003 to his involvement in the dreadful Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler feud of 2011, most of Ross' in-ring offerings were pretty embarrassing. That said, he does have one particularly notable win in his back catalogue: an unlikely April 2005 pin on Triple H.

Given 'The Game's' lofty position within the company, this is something WWE would love to delete from history. Still, nothing changes the fact that the 14-time World Champion was once defeated by a lowly announcer, with Batista providing the assist in a No DQ bout. Ross was out cold after a prolonged beating from Triple H, but Big Dave swung things back in his favour, dragging JR's limp body over Hunter for the 1, 2, 3.

It wasn't all jubilation for Ross, though: 'The Game' potato'd him badly, cracking the Oklahoman with a stiff shoot punch that left him with a black eye and damaged vision.
