10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Matt Bloom

4. X-Factor & The Hip-Hop Hippo

After doing a whole lot of nothing for the first few months of 2001, Bloom was at least given some direction in April when he was thrown together with X-Pac and Justin Credible. This unbelievably naff stable was called X-Factor and actually ended up setting all three men's careers back. The worst part was that the three members didn't do anything new to distinguish themselves from their usual characters. All three looked, wrestled and acted exactly the same as before, only this time they had pink lighting and a torturous theme song by Uncle Kracker. The whole thing just screamed of unoriginality and the group was done a few months later. When X-Pac went down with an injury in November, Albert was thrown into another forgettable tandem, this time with Scotty II Hotty. The duo were used mostly in undercard matches. Their most notable outing was against Christian & Test in the opener of Vengeance 2001. By 2002, however, the Too Cool style dancing was old hat and WWE knew it. Albert and Scott were a forgettable tag team if there ever was one. They split up following their loss to Tag Champs Billy & Chuck, paving the way for the dreaded A-Train singles push later in the year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lW91vTwFvRQ
