5. The Worst Heel Turn Of The Decade So Far?
As mentioned, the 'Divas Revolution' has been panned since its inception for its poor booking. A lot has been said about the confusing, illogical nature of the entire storyline - but no incident was harder to follow than Paige's eventual heel turn and split from Team PCB. The angle appeared to take place in reverse. It began well enough, with Charlotte winning the Divas Championship and Paige exhibiting subtle signs of jealousy. However, WWE then immediately jumped the gun, throwing the storyline into disarray. Paige quickly cut a scathing promo on her teammates, seemingly turning heel in the process. Then, over the following few weeks, Charlotte and Becky began to question whether they could trust Paige - despite the former NXT Champion airing her grievances in a very explicit fashion, right in front of them. Bafflingly, Paige then begged for forgiveness, and attempted to win back the favour of her teammates. Finally, with many fans ready to give up on the angle altogether, she snapped and attacked both Becky and Charlotte, cementing a heel turn which seemingly happened a month or so prior. The whole thing was a mess, and can arguably be considered the worst onscreen moment of Paige's entire run with the company - including her time in developmental.
