10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Rhyno

8. Strange Siblings

While not exactly known for their quality control, WWE's creative team have left thousands of atrocious ideas on the cutting room floor over the years, and while their original plans for Rhyno aren't quite on par with, say, frozen Nazi Heidenreich, they would've almost certainly tanked the former ECW Champion's career.

Rumour has it that one of the company's earliest ideas for 'The Man-Beast' was to have him debut as Edge & Christian's older brother, which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Wrestling history is full of fake families, but how was anybody supposed to be into the idea that this squat, dark-haired human wrecking ball came from the same gene pool as two lean Canadian blondes? The huge charisma gulf between E&C and their shorter, angrier pal made the proposition even more absurd, and the fact that many audience members would've already known Rhyno from his ECW days rounds it off as a terrible idea.

WWE did have Rhyno align with the era-defining tag team soon after debuting, but ditched the siblings plan. A smart move, as while 'The Man-Beast' was never more than a midcarder, he'd have likely gone the way of Shawn Stasiak and other WCW/ECW flops with that backstory.
