8. His Horrible Botch Against Tensai
As Nexus member Skip Sheffield, Ryback was allowed a degree of leeway in terms of in-ring mistakes, usually taking part in multi-man matches or simple beatdowns with the rest of Wade Barrett's stable. But when he re-debuted as a dominant singles behemoth, there was no place for the Big Guy to hide. A particularly embarrassing botch came in a 2012 match against Lord Tensai (better known as Prince Albert in the Attitude Era). As the below video demonstrates, Ryback struggled to lift Tensai onto his shoulders for the Shell Shock. It was an understandable mistake - Tensai's a pretty massive guy - but could have spelled disaster for a gimmick based entirely around strength. Strangely, Ryback had performed the same spot to perfection the previous week. Many speculated that Tensai had deliberately sandbagged the move, for whatever reason, but others reasoned that the match had been one of Ryback's longest singles bouts to date - he may have simply been too tired to lift such a heavy opponent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmXdfg2Xl1o
