Handshakes are a big deal in the WWE. You need to show the proper respect in the locker room, particularly to the veterans. A handshake should be offered to the other talents in the locker room when bumping into each other. But The Shield, particularly Seth Rollins, started to get heat for not doing the handshake or not doing it properly. Rollins was in the WWE doghouse over the summer of 2013, related to the fact that he wasn't shaking hands properly. It sounds petty, but it is part of wrestling tradition.
