10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Shane McMahon

10. His Forgettable Run Announcing On Sunday Night Heat

Shane McMahon was one of the hosts of Sunday Night Heat, which debuted on August 2, 1998. It was WWE's second biggest show at the time (Smackdown was a regular show one year later), and also big for Shane's career because it led to him becoming a regular character on WWE television. Vince McMahon started the first episode of Heat by going on the stage to introduce Shane as the host of Sunday Night Heat. In that episode, he was joined by two lovely ladies and then he took his seat on commentary. The thing with Shane on commentary was that he was bad at it. All he really did was yell things loudly and didn't offer much to the show at all. He lasted a few months on commentary and then was removed after he became a regular character in the storylines. He also did commentary on the WWF Attitude video game in that era as well. Since WWE never mentions Heat in any way (except maybe on Five Things), Shane's role on Heat is largely forgotten when people think about his career.
