10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Bloodline

4. Day 1 2022 Would Have Changed EVERYTHING

One of the most significant creative What Ifs of this generation, the alternate timeline in which Day 1 2022 goes off as planned results in at least two WrestleManias that look absolutely nothing like they eventually did.

Per all reliable sources, Brock Lesnar was supposed to defeat Universal Champion Roman Reigns on the show, ending his lengthy reign ahead of whatever lay ahead at WrestleMania 38. Instead, a day-of-the-show change was made when 'The Tribal Chief' reportedly had to miss the event due to COVID protocol. Lesnar was added to Big E's fatal four-way defence of the WWE Championship against Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and Bobby Lashley and ultimately walked away with that gold instead.

The two Champions eventually went title-for-title at the 'Show Of Shows', and Roman's victory solidified his status as the company's ultimate top star ahead of two more years atop the mountain. Would that have been anywhere near as effective had he regained the gold instead of simply winning it back?
