10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Hardcore Title

8. The British Bulldog Just Gave It To Al Snow

The infamous feud between Al Snow and the Big Boss Man that spawned a disastrous 'Kennel From Hell' match could easily have been included here. Much has been written about the dreadful dog-inspired cage bout though, and very little attention has been paid to the severe damage done to the Hardcore Title around the same time.

After beating Boss Man, none other than The British Bulldog literally handed the belt to Snow as though he didn't want it. We get that Hardcore Title wasn't ever supposed to be the most prestigious, but what sense did this make? Bulldog was basically saying, 'Hey, I don't want that thing around my waist'.

In the span of just a few minutes, Bulldog went to the effort of beating Boss Man for the title then palming it off to someone else like an unwanted toy. If people are going to rag on WCW for having Jim Duggan find their TV Title in a bin, then the same derision must be aimed at this September 1999 incident.
