10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About WrestleMania 37

2. They Buried The ‘Fiend’

Thanks for coming, Bray Wyatt.

WWE's booking strategies don't do someone with the mind of Wyatt justice. He knocked up a lore-heavy offshoot several years ago, developed a marketable look as The 'Fiend' and rallied against poor creative time and time again. Here's the thing: Bray will have to do exactly the same thing all over.

He was made to look like such a chump at 'Mania 37. This is a character who has cheated death, survived being set on fire and expertly represents the unstoppable monster that lurks in everyone's nightmares. In Tampa, that "unstoppable monster" was beaten by one RKO in a regular wrestling match.

Now, it looks like WWE will end his alliance with Alexa Bliss pronto, and they'll probably shelve Bray's masked gimmick completely whilst they're at it. If this is the end of The 'Fiend', then it's a sorry one. Fingers crossed a long-term outcome means this isn't the outright burial it appeared to be.
